Since 2000, the sports commission has brought in more than 210 events that have provided more than $860 million in economic activity to Northeast Ohio. The $17.8 million does not include economic revenue gleaned from visitors coming in for any of the main professional sports teams – Guardians, Cavaliers or Browns. Combined, the three play more than 130 games in Cleveland.
