Speed cameras on two sections of one of Scotland’s busiest routes have raked in more than £2million in drivers’ fines in the last three years.
And more than £500,000 was raised from 5,155 fines from the Burnshot Flyover, at South Queensferry, near Edinburgh, from the start of 2020 to March 15 this year. However, motoring organisations and opposition politicians are calling for drivers to be given a break and have questioned if the cameras are there to promote safety or simply raise money.
