Sonoma County Sheriff's Office says deputies tased and then fatally shot a man who allegedly stole a truck, an ATV and refused to drop an unspecified weapon Friday morning.

The sheriff's office said multiple residents contacted the man and that the man asked one of the residents to shoot him. In a preliminary report, the sheriff's office said the man fled from the resident and stole the resident's truck, breaking through several cattle gates and then fled the area. The man was tracked by deputies in a wooded area off of the 5600 block of Thomas Road. The man allegedly stole an ATV.
