Someone please save this neglected BMW 8-Series barn find.
According to the seller, this 1994 840Ci has been stuffed into the back of a shed for the past 13 years, left untouched for dust to accumulate inside and out. From the photos, we can see a thick layer of grossness that needs to be wiped off. The body panels themselves look to be in relatively good shape, though.
The interior is equally as dusty, a result of the owner leaving the window open while the car sat in storage for so long. Everything seems to be complete, without any rare, hard-to-find trim pieces missing. This car seems to be the perfect project for an obsessive BMW nut. The seller says the car is in need of a full restoration, with paint peeling and bubbling in places. The fuel lines also have a leak, as gasoline falls from the car while it's running. We'd like to see an image of that 4.0-liter V-8 under the hood, though considering the rest of the car, we can easily imagine how dusty it must be.with a high bid of £5400 and three days remaining to bid. If you're into old 8ers, this could be the perfect chance to kick-start your latest project.
