✈️ Holidaymakers are facing steep rises in the cost of car hire, accommodation and airport parking, making the cost of their trips far higher than before the pandemic, research shows.
recently estimated that car hire costs around the world have doubled since the pandemic to an average of £652 a week.
Ice Travel Group’s research compared the average prices paid across several categories for its 10 most popular destinations in June 2019 versus the 10 most popular destinations in June this year. Meanwhile, an all-inclusive package holiday has become an average of 17 per cent more costly, rising to approximately £1,000 for a family of four. Staying in a bed-and-breakfast has also risen, from £608 to £755.
