Police urged people to stay at home as an Arctic chill swept in, with Keith Brown, lead minister for resilience in the Scottish Government, warning many households would face days without power. A woman’s body was found near an outbuilding on Tuesday following heavy snowfall in the area, but it is not known if her death was related to the weather.
