Snap is showing renewed momentum, adding subscribers and topping Wall Street's revenue estimates in its 1st quarter by DawnC331
The company said its Snapchat messaging app added 4 million users in the quarter, bringing the number of daily active users to 190 million. Revenue for the quarter increased 39% to $320 million, exceeding Wall Street consensus estimates of $306.5 million.
CEO Evan Spiegel issued a statement, noting that the new Android app is available to everyone, and is showing"promising early results." The company also announced a new slate of original programs and a new game platform — products Snap hopes to monetize through commercials.
