Date published: Friday 14th April 2023 12:16 -Dean Smith has revealed he was 50-50 on taking the Leicester job after their defeat to Bournemouth last weekend, but insists he can keep the Foxes in the Premier League.
The home fans turned on the Leicester players after Philip Billing scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 defeat to the Cherries last Saturday. “I watched the Bournemouth game and if I was 80-20 for taking the job, then I probably went down to 50-50. “It is tough given the situation we are in, but I have always been a big believer that if players go out and train with a smile on their face, and play with a smile on their face, their confidence can change very quickly.
Harvey Barnes will miss Smith’s first game in charge with a hamstring problem, but creative midfielder Youri Tielemans is available for selection again after recovering from injury.
