Icy roads, downed trees and power lines are a possibility Friday thanks to overnight freezing rain that’s expected to continue throughout the morning, forecasters said. Rain or freezing rain could continue until about 10 a.m., followed by a slight chance of rain between 10–11 a.m, theForecasters said there’s also a chance of more than 30 mph winds throughout the day, with low 40-degree highs.
Up to a quarter inch of ice could accumulate, according to the NWS. Forecasters urged drivers to take extra caution while driving Friday morning.remains in effect until 10 a.m. for Dauphin, Cumberland, Perry, Lebanon, Adams, York, Lancaster, Franklin, Fulton, Juniata, Mifflin and Huntingdon counties.
Central Pennsylvanians are in for a sunny and dry weekend, forecasters said. Saturday’s highs could peak in the upper 30s, and Sunday’s in the upper 40s.
