A sled dog that went missing three months ago was at last found over the weekend in a city 120 miles away from where he was last seen.
Three months later—and 120 miles away from where he was last seen—the dog has officially been found.how three-year-old Leon—a husky who was participating in the Alaskan race with his owner, Sébastien Dos Santos Borges—managed to escape out of the checkpoint, disappearing entirely.
It wasn’t until May that residents in McGrath—a city located roughly 120 miles south of the checkpoint—began reporting sightings of the pooch around the area. One individual and another musher then came up with the bright idea of leaving food out to wrangle the four-legged escapee.
