Sinkhole closes part of Route 78; repairs to take as long as 4 days [Breaking]
A sinkhole forced the emergency closure Wednesday of state Route 78 in Oceanside, with officials saying the closure could last as long as four days.
All lanes on the westbound side from College Boulevard to El Camino Real were closed by the late afternoon, CalTrans officials said.The closure on the westbound side is expected to last until Saturday as crews work on a metal pipe culvert that runs underneath the highway, officials said.
