The medals for the Paris Games may be the most unique ever.

In a new interview, Simone Biles recalled how one of her first thoughts after experiencing the 'twisties' in Tokyo was what the reaction would be like online.WASHINGTON — Simone Biles has revealed she thought"the world is going to hate me" as she dealt with a phenomenon known as the"twisties" at the Tokyo Olympics. "I thought I was going to be banned from America ‘cause that’s what they tell you: 'Don’t come back if it's not gold. Gold or bust.

"If I could’ve got on a plane and flown home, I would’ve done it. But as soon as I landed I was like 'Oh, America hates me, the world is going to hate me, and I can only see what they're saying on Twitter right now,' that was my first thought." The “twisties” are the sudden inability for a gymnast to make the required spins — or sometimes any spins — for a particular maneuver.

"You've been doing something for so long and you now no longer have control and it's terrifying," she said.
