Simone Biles ended her two-year exile from gymnastics and proved that she's very much still the best.
The American star last competed in the Tokyo 2021 Olympics but decided to take a break from the sport to focus on her mental health, withdrawing from five of the six events that she was due to compete in.Biles took a break to focus on her mental health, but is now back with a bangHowever, the four-time Olympic champion returned to action at the US Classic at Hoffman Estates, Illinois where she earned a huge ovation by winning with an all-round score of 59.
"Happy to be back out on the floor," she tweeted. "This journey has been a rollercoaster of emotions. Thank you for believing in me." As a result, the 26-year-old has qualified for the US national championships which start on August 24, while she's also hoping to compete for the world title in Antwerp in October.
But while Biles is yet to indicate whether she's targeting a spot at next year's Olympics in Paris, the American was just happy to be back after a lengthy break.
