After that the baton weaved its way through the town to Victoria Quay, heading along Castle Street, St Mary's Street, Dogpole, High Street, Shoplatch, Barker Street and Bridge Street, before sailing along the River Severn on the Sabrina pleasure cruise boat and a boat from Pengwern Boat Club.
It was then arrived at The Quarry where crowds were set to be entertained by bands as the baton was brought on stage.The baton is carried on board The Sabrina on its way to Pengwern Boathouse where was being rowed across the Severn and delivered to the Quarry. Photo: Shropshire Council.In just a few short hours it's been to Shrewsbury Sports Village, the Flaxmill, Shrewsbury Castle, through the town centre, for a ride on Sabrina Boat, on a rowing boat and finally to the Quarry.
