Why The Railway Children Return role was a 'huge honour' for Sheridan Smith
, Smith shared that she had grown up watching the original film with her family, so being cast in the sequel was special for her.
"Oh, I absolutely had [seen the original]," Smith said."I watched it with my family, my mum and dad, at Christmas one year. I really vividly remember it. "We watched it a lot actually because it's so nostalgic, so beautiful, and then of course when I got the phone call aboutand that I'd be playing Jenny Agutter's daughter, I was hysterical and very, very excited. And so was my family. So yeah, it's an honour."
