In a statement shared with SFGATE, the Chinatown Community Development Center, the owner of 662 Commercial St., said on Friday that it did not renew City View Restaurant’s lease when it was terminated in October 2022, as the building required structural improvements and safety updates. It added that the dim sum restaurant is not the only tenant of the building, which also houses seniors and families.
