If you didn’t feel the 4.2-magnitude earthquake, chances are you felt your phone buzz

San Franciscans felt shaking and their phones vibrating thanks to a 4.2-magnitude earthquake that rattled Northern California on Wednesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Users in San Francisco reported feeling weak shaking to the USGS, while residents near the earthquake’s epicenter reported a light intensity. No injuries nor any damage have been attributed to the earthquake. “BART briefly held trains in place immediately after the earthquake, which is standard procedure,” BART spokesperson Jim Allison told The Examiner. “Tracks were inspected and no damage was found. We resumed normal service following the inspections.”
