Individually, several cities here rank as the fastest-growing cities in the state. Fairhope is number three on that list. “We used to be a couple of streets over in the French Quarter area near Panini Pizza. We were a small store. We’ve been here for three years almost. And it’s just continued to grow since we’ve been here.”
Foley is number two in population growth with a 5 percent increase. They gained 1,180 new residents in that span.“Just the amenities coming to our areas have been nice to see. I really hope that increasing population helps with our tax base and our government’s ability to provide us with additional services that people might want. The only negative that I would point out is I don’t think our infrastructure is keeping pace with the pace of growth.
