'Serious concerns' have been raised by ITV bosses for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield's wellbeing after 50,000 people signed a petition to sack them following 'queuegate'
TV insiders have raised “serious concerns” about the wellbeing of This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield as the row over “queue jumping” continues to escalate.
The weight of the trolling also appears to be taking its toll on screen, with one viewer even describing Holly as looking “like she's been crying all night” after returning to front the show this week. "There is huge, real and serious concerns over their wellbeing and ITV are fully supporting them behind the scenes in the face of such relentless trolling. The channel backs them 110 per cent.”
On Tuesday’s episode of This Morning, Phil and Holly publicly addressed the allegations in a small segment, while insisting they would “never jump a queue” after they appeared inside Westminster Hall last Friday without having joined the public queue. "The rules were that we would be quickly escorted around the edges to a platform at the back. In contrast, those paying respect walked along a carpeted area beside the coffin and were given time to pause.
