Voters will go to the polls on 20 July to elect a new MP following the resignation of Nigel Adams.
The Labour Party has named its candidate who will stand for a vacant North Yorkshire seat.on 20 July.
His decision came shortly after Boris Johnson and Nadine Dorries also announced their resignations as MPs.Image source,Mr Adams, who has held a number of ministerial roles, had previously said he did not intend to seek re-election in 2024.
