It’s unclear what the link contained, but multiple districts described the content as inappropriate.
The Middletown Area School District announced it has temporarily suspended use of SeeSaw, and recommended parents with SeeSaw accounts change their passwords. “It is important to note that this is an issue with Seesaw,” Middletown officials said in a statement posted to the“The inappropriate messages received were determined to be from hacked parent Seesaw accounts and not student or staff accounts,” the West Shore School District wrote on their website. “Unfortunately, this appears to be a national issue impacting parents in other school districts as well and is not limited to the West Shore School District.
Seesaw is used by more than 10 million teachers, students and family members every month across more than 75% of American schools, according to company data. FOX 43 reported the Susquenita School District was also affected. A similar issue was reported in districts in
