The season, which started April 15 and runs through Oct. 30, was projected to draw 1.4 million cruise passengers, but Port of Seattle Commissioner Ryan Calkins told KOMO News that the 2023 Seattle cruise season is on pace to exceed 1.7 million passengers.“It’s been a remarkable year. Most importantly, it was a safe year,” said Calkins.
More than just that financial impact, the Port of Seattle and the cruise industry are also working to reduce emissions.
