In the memo, the Seattle city attorney’s office accuses Vaddadi of “a pattern of biased rulings,” and said she has routinely overruled prior findings of probable cause from fellow judges and her rulings have prevented the city from getting fair hearings and trials.She routinely raises arguments on behalf of defendants without prompting or argument from their own attorneys," the memo said.
The memo doesn’t list specific cases the city attorney's office is referring to, but it mentions an assault case in which Vaddadi failed to find probable cause and domestic violence cases in which she has apparently refused to issue no-contact orders despite situations where there is a history of domestic violence.
