Finley, a former head coach at Los Fresnos and Big Spring, takes over the program following the recent departure of Shane Mobley. Mobley left his position at Sealy to become the athletic director at Peaster ISD, west of Fort Worth. Finley embarked on his coaching career at Arlington and made stops at Cleburne, Schulenberg and Victoria Memorial before landing his first head coaching job at Los Fresnos in 2010. He led the program for six seasons and made five playoffs appearances. Finley finished his tenure there with a 48-21 overall record.
