After January's"requel" Scream became a major success, Scream 6 was quickly greenlit by Paramount Studios with directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett remaining at the helm. Hype around the new sequel has been hotter than ever with filming already commencing in New York City and several major casting announcements emerging over the last several weeks.

Perhaps most interestingly, Czerny previously starred in Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett's 2019 horror-comedy hit Ready or Not.
