A Scots mum-of-three who was diagnosed with cancer weeks just after her daughter has made her modelling debut at 61.
A week later, Mary was told that she too had been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer and the pair went through treatment together. "The camaraderie within the group was very uplifting. The photographs are incredible and the whole team was very professional – from having my hair and makeup done by top professionals to then being dressed in the elegant blush pink gown. It was amazing. To feel beautiful and empowered after the breast cancer experience was life-affirming.
The singer shared images from the photoshoot on her Instagram, said: “It was such a great day. I was so very pleased to meet Angela and was very moved to learn about how both she and her daughter Mary were diagnosed with breast cancer around the same time. They are both inspirational.” "I have no idea how we got through it all, but we did thanks to unconditional love and support from very special family and friends. It’s not easy to summarise our experience of being a mother and daughter duo with breast cancer, and so much has happened; we often laugh and say we could write a book."
