The key witness in a murder case told of the moment her fiance confessed to killing a cyclist and burying his body.
Just minutes earlier McKellar, who she had met through a dating website, confessed he had killed a cyclist three years earlier and he and his brother had hid his remains. He and twin brother Robert lived and worked there with their parents, running hunting trips for tourists. Caroline said: “Sometimes after a certain point, he would become ‘bad Sandy’ – that’s what I’d call it. It was as if you were looking at someone different. His eyes were dark, he would be devoid of any sort of feeling.
“He started having a panic attack. He was gasping and started wailing. Then he told me what he’d done… something that he’d got away with for years.”
