The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service told the Record that crews were targeted in Troon, Glasgow and Bathgate between Friday and 5pm on Sunday.
Scots firefighters were attacked in three separate times over Bonfire weekend. The shocking incidents took place in Troon, the Knightswood area of Glasgow and in Bathgate, West Lothian, between Friday and 5pm on Sunday.
It comes as a number of organised displays had to be cancelled due to budget cuts and poor weather caused by Storm Ciarán. The popular Hopetoun Fireworks and Bonfire Night near South Queensferry were axed due to "severe weather". Attacks on first responders have been branded “reckless” and a “drain on resources” by SFRS Deputy Assistant Chief Officer Garry Mackay. He said: “The safety of our firefighters and the people of Scotland is always our number one priority.
Top news stories today “Unfortunately, at this time of year, we do see an increase in anti-social behaviour and, on occasion, attacks on our firefighters. Attacks on the emergency services are both reckless and totally unacceptable. It is also a needless drain on resources.
