Scots council sent dementia stricken pensioner threatening letters warning of forced entry
The family of an elderly woman with dementia have lambasted Renfrewshire Council after it sent threatening letters to her home.
Her son, Graham Cook, who acts as Margaret’s power of attorney, says the pensioner lacks the capacity to make arrangements and is unable to speak on the phone as a result of her hearing problems. “One department doesn’t speak to the other and all the while I am her power of attorney and they continue to send letters to her instead of me. This was the last straw for me.”
