An Edinburgh woman says she has been forced to live in a flat plagued with damp, rot and two holes in the ceiling for over a decade
, exacerbating already-existing health issues and causing stress to her and her partner.
Now, Danna says she feels at a loss, with the final word from the council being that all repairs have been completed, according to EdinburghLive. "It's got to the point where I'm having to pay to use sunbeds because of how cold and damp it is in the flat. We also have to keep the heating on for longer and given the cost of living crisis, we can't afford to keep doing that.
Danna lives in the flat with her partner, Siobhan, and said the couple have faced constant problems ever since moving in 12 years ago. They both like the location, however, so are reluctant to move. She continued: "Once we have to take the TV off the bracket on the wall as it fell off due to the water damage, you could see the drops running down the wall. A new wall in the bedroom also had to be built due to similar issues when we moved in.
