Football fans travelling to Glasgow's Hampden Park Stadium for Scotland’s Nations League match against the Republic of Ireland will see more services and more seats from ScotRail.With close to sell-out crowd expected, queuing systems will be in place at Glasgow Central and Mount Florida and trains are expected to be busier. Fans are therefore asked to allow extra time for travelling to and from the match.Sign up to Glasgow Live newsletters for more headlines straight to your inbox.
After the match, supporters are advised to head back to Mount Florida as quickly as they can and join the queues via Bolton Drive. Extra staff will on hand to help customers. Phil Campbell, ScotRail head of Customer Operations, said: "We're really looking forward to helping fans get to this crucial Nations League qualifier against the Republic of Ireland. To keep everyone moving as quickly and safely as possible, we’re adding more seats to trains between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida.
"However, trains are expected to be busy, so we’re asking customers to plan their journeys in advance and buy their return tickets to Mount Florida before they board.
