SCOTRAIL has confirmed there will be widespread disruption this weekend due to heavy rain.
In a post on Twitter/X, the train operator said: “Due to the forecasted heavy rain, this weekend, no trains will run between the Central Belt & Aberdeen/Inverness.“Customers travelling between Edinburgh or Glasgow & Aberdeen/Inverness need to change at Perth, for travel to Inverness, or Dundee for travel to Aberdeen.”It comes as the Scottish Environment Protection Agency has issued eight flood warnings which are currently in place across areas in Dundee and Angus and Tayside.
