Israeli officials said they also are discussing the possibility of sending wounded Palestinian women and children for medical treatment in several other European countries that they declined to identify.A spokesperson for the White House National Security Council stressed that the U.S. does not support any permanent displacement of Palestinians from their homes in Gaza.
