“They won’t be perfect, but they’ll good enough for a lot of students and I think that means that uncontrolled assessments… become very, very problematic. I think we have to be thinking that there is a value in having traditional exams – [because] you know it is their own work, that it’s their own thinking.”
The Joint Council for Qualifications – which represents boards – published fresh advice for schools on “protecting the integrity of qualifications”, warning that chatbots may pose “significant risks” if used by students completing assessments.
