Support staff are often the unsung heroes of schools. The education system would grind to a halt without the hard work of classroom assistants, janitors and admin staff.
It comes as the first summit organised by the Scottish Government on violence in schools meets next week. The Record’s Our Kids... Our Future dragged this issue to the top of the political agenda. Teachers, support staff and pupils alike need schools to be safe environments for them to work and learn in. We cannot afford a collective shrugging of shoulders when it comes to tackling violence.
