Diversity is becoming more commonplace in the public business sector, and for good reason: it produces creativity and innovation, which contributes to achieving the organization’s mission. There’s already an understanding among many board members that a homogeneous board can lead to nearsightedness and groupthink, cites the global business advisory firm April. The opposite is true for a diverse board.

Running along with this candidate is another married couple, and if they all win the general election Nov. 7, they would form nearly a quorum from just two households in the district.
