Man United invested close to £200million on seven new arrivals but Erik ten Hag's side have not started the new season as expected.
Paul Scholes has questioned whether Manchester United's summer signings have made them stronger after seeing another poor start to the season under Erik ten Hag.
"I think they are on a very similar path to last season," Scholes told TNT Sports. "They had a really bad start, and a poor start this season, and I thought after last year they were going in a different direction and was starting to take this club somewhere. Hojlund only made his first start for United in that defeat to Brighton on Saturday, having come off the bench for his debut in the 3-1 loss at Arsenal before the international break. Mount, meanwhile, has been absent since the 2-0 defeat at Tottenham due to a muscular issue, while Amrabat returned from international duty with a small issue.
