Schitt's Creek star Emily Hampshire has landed her next lead movie role in an upcoming thriller.
Set just months after an environmental disaster in a dystopian future that has led world leaders to take drastic action to decrease the global population,When the retired family patriarch gathers his four adult children to tell them he wants to volunteer for a new euthanasia program, his plan goes wrong, leaving tensions high and his children fighting.
Speaking of the script written by Michael Sparaga from Victory Man Productions, Cronenberg said she had to make the movie once she had read the script.“From my very first read, the all-too-possible dystopian world of Michael’s script left me breathless, and I immediately knew I had to be the one to make this movie,” said Cronenberg.
Discussing her cast and crew, the director said she was"blessed" and is looking forward to the film's release. “Each and every day on set felt like a gift and I feel truly blessed to have worked with such remarkable talents, both in front of and behind the camera.
