This past week was no different, producing everything from swirling lows and bats to supercells and a space launch. Here are a few of our favorites for you to stare at along with us.The week began with this mesmerizing low-pressure system spinning over the Great Lakes on Monday. It was responsible for producing over a foot of snow in western and northern Wisconsin.Snow from that storm began to melt away quickly on Tuesday.
Those same thunderstorms also displayed their intensity on satellite. The darkest orange colors indicate colder cloud tops in this infrared image, which is often an attribute of powerful storms.Thursday gave us satellite views related to space that we don't see every day.
