The news release states SaskPower is now projected to see an an overall loss of $138 million in 2022-2023.“Forecasted increases to operations, maintenance and administration and finance charges also contributed to the forecasted net loss. Forecasted increases to Saskatchewan sales and exports will help offset losses in 2022-23.”
The news release states the SRRP knows the increase will have an impact on customers, but affordability needs to be balanced with the financial needs of the Crown corporation, so Saskatchewan residents have “safe and reliable electricity service today and into the future.”
