A pedestrian died after an early morning traffic collision in San Jose on Monday, according to police.
A pedestrian died early Monday morning after she was struck by a vehicle on San Jose city streets, according to authorities.
San Jose police responded to the crash in the area of Tully Road and Lanai Avenue at 4:32 a.m. In a tweet, police said the victim, a woman, was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said. Street closures were in place around the area as of 6 a.m. Monday.
Units are currently investigating a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in the area of Tully Rd and Lanai Av. The adult female pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries where she was later pronounced deceased.
