Forecasters say tranquil weather could last well into next week
The low-pressure system that eased temperatures over the past couple of days is fading and will give way to a gradual warm-up across San Diego County, says the National Weather Service. And it doesn’t appear that the seasonal monsoon will kick in this week, keeping the humidity low in many areas.
San Diego is expected to hit 72 on Wednesday and Thursday, 74 on Friday, 76 on Saturday and 75 on Sunday. The seasonal high is 74. Oceanside will be about three degrees cooler. El Cajon will be notably warmer, reaching 81 on Wednesday, 84 on Thursday, 85 on Friday and 89 on Saturday and Sunday. Sea surface temperatures have increased to the 70- to 72-degree range. But wave heights have fallen. They will be in the 1-foot to 3-foot range for the next several days.
