A shooting over the weekend has left a 17-year-old paralyzed. She's the niece of local activist Shane Harris.
On Wednesday, he held a news conference to give an update. The family and Harris said they are looking for justice.
"Cut the shooting. You ain't bold. You ain't getting no points for shooting someone else. You may think you're coming up the ladder, but you're taking your whole community down with you," Harris said at a press conference. It's after that point when some sort of altercation between two groups happened. One person pulled out a gun and fired shots.
Now, that incident is one of three separate shootings that happened this past weekend. Another incident happened atOne of the victims is a 16-year-old boy who got shot in the leg. He is believed to have been involved in the dispute. A 58-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman who had no connection to either group were also shot in the leg.
