This new partnership isn't Nerd's first foray into the sporting world. The brand's website touts the product as the official energy drink of the New Jersey Devils hockey team and as sponsors of multiple race car drivers and the boxing promotion Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship."As a brand that was founded in San Antonio, we couldn’t be more excited to be partnering up with the San Antonio Spurs," Beverage USA cofounder Rocco LaVista said in a media release.
Nerd will be sold throughout the AT&T Center during all events there, and customers will be able to sample new Nerd flavors in a market located in Section 122 of the arena. Nerd fans will be able to make a contactless, mobile purchase of the drink through the Spurs app.
