Last week: Safety Lathan Ransom 'all over the place' in Ohio State football win
Ohio State coach Ryan Day says that punt blocking is an art, but the play Lathan Ransom made in the third quarter of"He was all over the place," Day said, praising the third-year safety.
It especially pleased Day that Ransom was able to execute, given it wasn't something the team had necessarily practiced. Ransom was able to make a difference on special teams thanks to his work two plays earlier, when he sacked Hoosiers quarterback Dexter Williams II for a 7-yard loss. He celebrated by laying both his hands to the side of his head, intimating he had put the signal caller to sleep. Overall, Ransom had 1½ sacks, nine tackles and a pass breakup.
