Actress Joan Collins has paid tribute to her “first boyfriend”, as fellow actor David McCallum sadly died at the age of 90.
Following the announcement, Joan took to social media to share a throwback picture with David as she revealed she is “so sad” to hear about his death. Joan captioned the picture: “So sad that #davidmccallum - my first boyfriend at #rada - has died. A fine #actor a great #talent and a true #gentleman. Loved working with him on #manfromuncle #rip #ripdavidmccallum”.
David’s son Peter released a statement on behalf of the family where he described his dad as “the kindest, coolest, most patient and loving father”. “He was a true renaissance man – he was fascinated by science and culture and would turn those passions into knowledge. For example, he was capable of conducting a symphony orchestra and could actually perform an autopsy, based on his decades-long studies for his role on NCIS.
