Ryan Reynolds, 45, Says He Plans to Perform Fewer Stunts as ‘Things Start to Hurt’ at His Age
the 45-year-old revealed that his age may be getting the best of him, at least when it comes to performing his own stunts.
From crashing through car sunroofs and windows to fighting on highways while bouncing off of parked cars, Reynolds is no stranger to performing a stunt or two. In fact, he’s made a name for himself opting to do his own; but now he says that getting older has made it increasingly more difficult. “You’re not allowed to eat Advil like cereal,” he joked in the interview. “Things start to hurt. After I turned 35, being thrown onto cement wasn’t hilarious anymore. It had been upgraded to hell.”will feature more of Reynold’s stunt double and less of the heartthrob doing summersaults over car hoods, he assured moviegoers he still plans to do as much of the stunt work himself as he can.
“I really like physicality in movies,” he said. “I think it’s important to do as much of [the stunt work] yourself as you can, but I’ll step aside when there’s something that’s just too gnarly and there’s a trained professional ready to go.” This content is imported from Instagram.
