The first full trailer of Russian Doll season 2 shows Natasha Lyonne stuck in the 80s. The show follows Nadia , a game developer stuck in a time loop in which she repeatedly dies on her 36th birthday. Nadia soon discovers she isn't alone, finding a fellow time looper in Alan , with the pair forced to find a way out of their seemingly endless predicament.
But while season 1 managed to wrap up Nadia and Alan's first foray into Russian Doll's multiverse, it left plenty of room open for more time looping antics. The season ended with Nadia and Alan stuck in opposite universes after avoiding their deaths, with the two of them facing their demons along the way.
Russian Doll's popularity is understandable, the show boasting fantastic acting, even better storytelling, and an inventive twist on the often overused time-traveling shtick. Recently new addition to the cast Sharlto Copley teased that Russian Doll season 2 is even better than before, and with Schitt's Creek's Annie Murphy also joining the cast, it's easy to see why. Russian Doll puts its Nadia and Alan back in the fold - time and time again - when it returns on April 20.
