The Russian defense ministry accused Kyiv of firing a missile at the Russian city of Taganrog on Friday near the border with Ukraine.
The ministry said on Telegram that Kyiv fired an S-200 surface-to-air missile that Russian forces were able to intercept in the air, though the resulting debris left multiple people injured. It called the incident a"terrorist attack."“There are several victims, ambulances are handling the victims. Four people were slightly injured by broken glass. Information about the damage is being specified," Regional Gov. Vasily Golubev said on the platform, noting that no one had died.
The ministry said shortly after that its forces intercepted another strike near Azov in the Rostov region.
