Eurofighter Typhoons were heard flying over Pitlochry, Scone and Dundee on Tuesday evening
The tranquil peace of rural Highland Perthshire was interrupted on Tuesday night by the booming sound of high-speed jets.
RAF Typhoon jets were scrambled from the air force’s base in Lossiemouth and circled over Pitlochry and Blair Atholl a number of times. A spokesperson for RAF Lossiemouth said: “The jets you would have seen in the area were undertaking routine training in a low light environment. “As the station needs to be ready to undertake operations 24/7, night flying forms part of our regular training schedule.”
